I’m Tabitha: daughter, friend, international student, and allergy novice.
Until a couple of years ago, I had never been allergic to anything. Now, it seems that I’m allergic to absolutely everything (not really).
I was sixteen when I was informed that my allergies include: gluten, lactose, coffee, carrots, and some type of tree (it doesn’t grow where I live, but I should have paid more attention…).
I ignored it at first, because teenagers do that, but my body has had enough. My allergies have gotten worse, forcing me to acknowledge them. I’m adjusting—very slowly. It’s hard, but I’m trying, sharing what I learn along the way.
